Dear Dean Danko:
Joseph Brady, a senior in the School of Business, worked for me this summer as an assistant loan originator. Joe contacted me in the Spring of 2006. Through e-mails and telephone calls, we realized that, though unrelated, we had many common connections. It is because of Joe's ability to develop a relationship that I hired him. I anticipated a capable student to assist me in clerical duties; Joe exceeded my wildest expectations.
Joe immediately immersed himself into our culture, willingly took on responsibilities, and became an apt student of the mortgage industry. His service spanned interesting times in the mortgage industry. He interfaced with customers, contributed to a Web 2.0 marketing campaign, and offered prolific analysis of the mortgage liquidity crisis. I refer you to his weblog, www.Joseph-Brady.com, as documentation of Joe's commitment to continued learning. Entries on that weblog have been featured in Google Finance and the online edition of the Wall Street Journal. His "featured status" on those new media drove traffic to our website and resulted in new customers.
Joe enthusiastically volunteered for more responsibility. He developed new relationships with referral partners and recommended new CRM technology for us. He implemented that technology then taught us how to more efficiently mine our database of existing relationships. The effect of Joe's relationship management skills produced measurable results and cushioned the sharp decrease in loan volume in September. In short, Joe's contributions will have a lasting impact on our loan origination practice.
Joe's character and sense of fairness are an example of what I expect of a Villanova School of Business student. I confidently recommend Joseph Brady for a career in finance or marketing.
I offer this recommendation, as a permanent page on Joe's weblog, for two reasons:
1- My recommendation is a dynamic opinion. Joe's impact on our practice grows daily. This "new medium" allows me to accurately reflect that impact in "real time". "Linking" allows me to document Joe's contributions.
2- It reflects Joe's ability to grasp the future of marketing. The revolutionary impact of Web 2.0 is attempted by many and mastered by few; I consider Joe to be part of the latter group.
I am pleased to clarify this recommendation at your request. Please click this link for my contact information.
Sincerely,
Brian J. Brady
